The Hardest Thing About Working Out

I been working out and I find that the hardest thing about working out is working out. I'm a guy so I don't have issues with sweat or getting my hair messed up. The hardest part for me is actually working out. I'm sure you are now puzzled if you're reading this. Like what the hell is Demetrius talking about. Let me go into detail.

Working out is boring. I don't care if I put on great music or even watch TV while doing it. I just don't find it interesting and with most things if I don't find it interesting I don't do it. However, this time I'm doing it. I'm having a boring as time doing the same thing over and over again. Walking or running on the treadmill is a dreadful 30-60 minutes. Working out on the Total Body gym is a little better because it is a faster work out but it is still boring.

I'm bored but I'm getting in shape!

Haven't Been Blogging BUT....

I know I haven't been blogging but guess what I been excercising. Not only that but I've been losing weight and getting in shape! I'm not exactly sure of how much weight I've lost but it is a nice amount. Considering that I can fit pants from Senior year of High School. (I actually wore the pants to a party!). I can't just fit them but I can actually wear them and not look like a damn fool!.

*Does the Happy Dance* GO ME! :)

Hopefully I'll be able to do a video update soon!

FAMILY TRIP: Mexico? Nope, Bahamas? Nope, Mississippi? Yep...Wait What?

I don’t know if this is the worst vacations/trip ever or just the most interesting. From exploring the exotic lands of Cozumel Mexico and Nassau Bahamas to a family trip to Tupelo, MS? Well how about that for a downgrade in places? It’s small like an island, the weather is hot but it’s more like a humid desert. You won’t see water for miles. No major Lake and being from Chicago, I’m use to a huge Lake (Lake Michigan) and no Ocean.

I stayed a night over at Tunica, MS in Sam’s Town, which is a hotel and casino. If I closed one eye, I think it reminded me of Las Vegas. Okay, maybe not but it was nice. The service was excellent and I even got to eat at Paula Deens buffet in Harrah’s hotel and casino. The food was excellent as well. After Tunica, my family and I hit up the little town where my dad was born. Pull up to this small brick house and that’s where we are staying.

Let the real adventure begin…

Old Technology isn't Like Old Clothes

While doing some deep cleaning around my house, I notice technology moves fast. Who would have thought that my Palm Pilot would be dated technology? That Dreamcast gaming system that I purchased on credit would be look down upon like a joke? My Blackberry is capable of doing everything and more that my Palm Pilot could do and the Dreamcast really never stood a chance (it can’t even read DVD’s and every gaming system of course needs to read those, right?). I offered the Dreamcast on twitter and I had a winning bidder. The garbage can took it for the price of nothing. The Palm Pilot is something I can’t bare to split with at the moment because I remember saving for that while working a summer job.

Another piece of technology that I can’t seem to part with is my CD collection. I don’t know why but I just can’t seem to part with the cases. Even though I have everything and more on my computers. I’m holding on to those CD’s like they are precious gold. A friend recently asked me why did I have CD’s when I have a massive collection of digital music. All I could say was: “I don’t know but I’m keeping them.”

Old technology isn’t like old clothes; there is no place I can donate that Dreamcast or my CD collection. You can even sometimes find friends or family members that want your old clothes but your old technology? Forget about it! Nobody wants these CD’s just like I don’t want anybody’s collection of 8-track tapes.

Do you have old technology that you can’t part with? Please share your story in the comment section. Maybe you know of a drop off box for my old technology (besides the dumpster) I’m open to suggestions.

Weekend Edition: Fried Chicken and Pizza

I know a lot of people have problems during the week because they are so busy and usually eat unhealthy because they want something fast. I have noticed that during the week is easy for me but the weekend is hard. I end up drinking a lot of my calories when I go out but I also love Pizza. I had ate terrible and it all started Thursday. Yea, you can say I had an early weekend.

Fried chicken and Pizza but not together. Different days and a different vice I faced. The vice won because I ate pizza and chicken....not any kind of Chicken but the unhealthy fried in a pot of grease kind. I also had one too many cookies with a tall glass of milk. I didn't exercise any unless you count running my mouth.

Fun with food and alcohol must've been my motto this weekend. I did have fun but I do wish I could have controlled myself a little better on the Chicken and Pizza....oh and the cookies. I don't drink often enough for that to be a huge concern.

I must do better. Maybe I'll try blogging about what I ate everyday?
